hi. is it totally implausible to get up to Philly on a weekday night in less than 5 1/2 hours during rush hour? have you done this before? is it ridiculous to try and see the doughty show up there after working all day, and then drive from philly to get my weekend party on in beachland?
am I just trying to ROAD TRIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPP like I'm 21 again? it's okay, you can tell me the truth.

It took us 4 1/2 hrs. when we did a mid-week road trip up to Philly for a concert around this time last year. We left D.C. at 4:30 and got there at 9 (mere seconds before the concert began!), after hitting the three successive rush hours of D.C., Baltimore, and Philly. So it is possible. Go for it, why not.
Not sure about how long it takes in the PM rush, but I made it past philly in just over 3 hrs yesterday morning. It helps if you drive a station wagon, a wicked fast station wagon.
